Strong Candidate Profile

A particularly strong 9XGO product may be: Good ProductClear Customer ProblemIdentifiable MarketAttractive OfferReliable VendorStrong Sales Potential The product does not need to be from a famous company. In fact, emerging software can be particularly attractive when it has a strong product but needs distribution, customers, visibility, or market access.

Emerging Software

Emerging software can be a strong marketplace candidate when it:
  • Has a good and functional product
  • Solves a clear business problem
  • Has a relatively less-known brand
  • Needs customer acquisition or distribution
  • Can provide an attractive commercial offer
  • Has a capable vendor and support system
  • Can handle additional customers
  • Has a strong entrepreneur, SMB, or business use case
A lesser-known product with strong fundamentals can sometimes have greater marketplace potential than a famous product that has little need for third-party distribution.

Established Software

Established software can also qualify. Brand recognition alone does not determine suitability. 9XGO may consider established products when there is a clear opportunity through:
  • Competitive pricing
  • Special offers
  • Reseller arrangements
  • Exclusive distribution
  • Regional opportunities
  • Expert-assisted sales
  • Implementation or service bundles
  • Strong customer demand

The 9XGO Question

Before investing significant sales or marketing resources into a product, we ask:
“Why should this software be sold through 9XGO?”
A strong answer may be:
  • Customers are actively looking for it
  • The vendor needs additional distribution
  • 9XGO can offer better value
  • 9XGO can reach a relevant audience
  • The product has strong sales potential
  • 9XGO can create a better buying experience
  • There is a commercially attractive partnership opportunity
If there is no clear answer, the product may be better suited for listing or organic discovery rather than active 9XGO sales investment.

Product Types & Sales Approach

Different software products may require different sales strategies. The appropriate approach depends on the product, vendor, customer, and commercial arrangement.

Key Principle

9XGO does not select software simply because it is good. We select software where there is a clear opportunity to create value for the customer, the vendor, and 9XGO.
A product may therefore be: Listed but not actively sold, or: Approved for Sale but not promoted with paid advertising, or: Selected for Campaigns because it has demonstrated strong sales potential. This allows 9XGO to focus its resources on products with the strongest potential while maintaining a broad and useful marketplace.

Research Before Sales

A product may be a good software product but still not be a good sales opportunity for 9XGO. Before investing significant sales or marketing resources, 9XGO researches the product and its market. We prefer to start with a small number of carefully researched products rather than build a large catalog without a clear sales opportunity.

What We Research

From Research to Sales

The objective is not to list as many products as possible. A typical selection process may look like: Research 10–20 Products

Shortlist the Strongest Candidates

Select 2–5 Products for Sales Testing

Identify the Best Performers

Focus Sales & Marketing on the Winners
The exact numbers may vary depending on the category and market opportunity.
9XGO prioritizes products with strong sales potential rather than simply increasing the number of products listed.

Why We Start Small

A focused product portfolio allows 9XGO to:
  • Understand each product better
  • Create stronger product positioning
  • Test customer demand
  • Measure conversion
  • Improve sales messaging
  • Work closely with vendors
  • Control marketing costs
  • Identify products worth scaling
A product that performs well can receive increased sales and marketing investment. A product that does not demonstrate sufficient potential may remain available for organic discovery without receiving significant marketing investment.

The 9XGO Sales-Fit Question

Before allocating significant resources, we ask:
“If we invest our time, money, and sales effort into this product, is there a realistic opportunity to generate profitable and scalable sales?”
If the answer is not sufficiently strong, the product may be listed without active promotion, placed on hold, or not selected for 9XGO sales.

The Goal

Fewer Products → Better Research → Better Selection → Better Sales Focus → Better Results
